R Profiled

Over the next four weeks we will be taking a closer look at r.a.j.e. by introducing us all one by one. Every wondered why each post and tweet is signed off by an initial? Well r.a.j.e. is made up of four women, each uniquely fantastic in their own right and together we laugh, dance, eat, drink, smile and most importantly, r.a.j.e. So delve on in, they're real photos and real answers, whether flattering or not.

Starting our profile series in traditional r.a.j.e. order is R, fashion writer enthusiast, body shape expert and sister of A. A way with words and a nose for classic style, she's one remarkable companion.

Favourite holiday of the year?

It has to be Christmas, my mum is without argument the best cook in the world and the best present buyer. That combined with my Dad's treasure hunt, the smell of the tree, the glasses of wine and the time spent with the greatest family in the world makes it pretty difficult to beat.

Ideal holiday destination?

I spent a wonderful summer in South Korea and have dreamed of going back ever since...but the next trip on the agenda is NYC. I think it's appalling that I haven't been yet!

The outfit you throw on when you sleep through your alarm?

Tight black pencil skirt, loose crop top, lots of necklaces and heels.

Perfect way to spend the day is doing...?

Sleeping in, ambling to a coffee shop and whiling away the day reading that month's magazines or my book. Then popping into my favourite homewear shops on the way home. With either a rajer, family or my Favourite by my side.

Film that has most influenced your style?

Ooof, it's got to be Clueless. Unfortunately Cher and Dee's pristine looks don't translate into my everyday, but I was influenced at young age by how seriously they took looking good.

Ultimate girl crush?

It's always been a toss up between Natalie Portman and Scarlett Johannson. Can I have both?

When you were growing up you wanted to be?

All of Jane Austen's protagonists.

Now you’re grown up you want to be?

A good person.

Favourite style blogger?

She's one of the style blogger gods now and it's more like reading a magazine but FashionToast first inspired me to blog and still does.

Top three high street shops?

Reiss, Whistles, Topshop

If you could afford to, you would buy from which designer?

Chloe...I think I could translate into my wardrobe with the least effort.

Beauty products you couldn’t live without?

Carmex, Mac Studiofix, Maybelline Mascara, Maybelline black gel eyeliner, Benetint and a endless tubes of red lippy.

What’s your poison?

Rum, preferably kept for 12 years just for me.

The thought that keeps you going through all the hard days?

That life is in the hands of someone much greater than me, that all I can do is try my best and try to do good and that at the end of the day I have the best friends and family around me, I am loved.

Ideal date?

Talking about the future over spicy food with a glass of Gewurztraminer with my Favourite.

The three main colours in your wardrobe are?

Black, Grey and Navy.

When you and your girlfriends get together you are? (going to the pub/dancing/cooking/gossipping)

Eating, Drinking, Laughing.

Where do you see yourself in five years?

Living in London and seeing more of my friends and family.
