Style: The Return of Colourful Trainers

A hails the rising trend of the colourful trainer.

Normcore got you down? Bored of black? R's white trainer post just not cutting the mustard? The latest crop of designer trainer collaborations could be just what you're looking for. No matter what your style, you're sure to find a perfect fit with one of these multi-coloured beauties.

Nike x Liberty

A long-running collaboration, Nike x Liberty has produced some supremely beautiful shoes as well as some distinctly average offerings. This season's collection, a bold, geometric Liberty print on some well chosen Nike silhouettes has had the fashion set a-running to own them.

Adidas Originals x Mary Katrantzou

Part of the designer trainers trend sweeping the catwalks (see Chanel, Burberry et al), Katrantzou teamed up with Adidas Originals to produce a capsule collection as print heavily wonderful as her mainline collection. Not for the fainthearted.

SuperCOLOR Adidas x Pharrell Williams

Proving that colour can be minimal, Pharrell Williams has struck gold with his SuperCOLOR collaboration with Adidas. Classic Adidas silhouette, the Superstar (perennial hip-hop favourite) is completely immersed in 50 pure colours.

While I can't deny the appeal of a pair of white Stan Smiths, but with all this colour on offer, there's surely no excuse for not adding a splash of colour to your summer footwear!
